Proper preparation and aftercare is essential for achieving the best results from your waxing service.

How to prepare for your wax

Before your appointment, allow hair to grow at least 2-3 weeks for optimal removal. Gently exfoliate the area 24 hours prior, and avoid heavy lotions or oils on the skin the day of your service. It’s also best to avoid caffeine right before you appointment, as it can increase skin sensitivity.

I highly recommend you drink lots of water the week of your appointment and especially the night before your appointment. Hydrated skin contributes to a smooth, quick, and minimal pain wax service.

Aftercare

Aftercare is just as important as your prep. After your wax, your skin may be slightly sensitive, so it’s important to avoid heat, sweating, and friction for at least 24 hours. This includes hot showers/baths, saunas, workouts, and tight clothing. Begin gentle exfoliating 2-3 days after your service to help prevent ingrown hairs, and keep the skin moisturized daily to maintain smooth, healthy results.

I offer professional-grade aftercare right here in the studio to make your routine simple and effective. These are specifically chosen to:

  • Gently exfoliate and prevent ingrown hairs
  • Sooth and calm the skin after waxing
  • Keep your skin hydrated and balanced
  • Brighten and clear up any dark spots or hyperpigmentation

Consistent use of proper aftercare products help extend your waxing results and keeps the skin soft, clear, and bump-free especially between appointments.

Think of your aftercare routine as part your results, not just as an add-on.
